As all of the other reviews have said, this is a very solid hotel: clean, new, well built and full of good amenities. I don't automatically associate the Fairfield name with flawless execution, but this hotel really was impressive. Very quiet, very good location, etc.

After driving to Santa Cruz from San Francisco, we couldn't find a good hotel with a vacancy. A little further south is Capitola, a quiet little town with all the features you need in one area. The beach here is less crowded that Santa Cruz.

Clean, modern, beautiful, roomy and comfortable! Gated, safe underground parking. Quick checkin. Friendly professional staff. Great continental breakfast! If you're in the San Jose or Capitola area, I highly recommend this Fairfield! You can't go wrong.

Loved this hotel. New, modern, beautiful! We had to leave on short notice at 8pm at night an they didn't even charge us for that night!

Second visit in a few weeks, tried to book via Marriott.com, but, had trouble.... Ended up calling Elite Membership line and they suggested calling the property directly. After calling and leaving a short message about our issue, got a returned call and confirmation to allow us a one-night visit, they were only booking two-night stays for Easter weekend. Clean, comfortable, amiable young staff. Big rooms and it is really a nice walk to the old Capitola. The hotel is full of amenities with an exercise room ( a good one) pool, bocce court and jacuzzi. The walk to the old town is quick, especially the downhill part! The staff is young, but very helpful and full of fun.... More
