We spent 2 nights in the Limerick room, which has wooden walls, giving ti a rustic feel. our room was upstairs, with trees outside the window. We enjoyed the easy to start fireplace (wood burning but with a gas assist for those of us who are fire starting challenged). Our breakfasts were wonderful both days, starting with granola, fruit and... more

We found the J Patrick House quite delightful. We stayed in the bldg. behind the main house. The rooms are comfortable and very clean with fireplaces. They put out homemade cookies in the evening and coffee in the morning in our sitting room. The wine and hors d'oeuvres in the main house were very tasty and a nice way to... more

We were delighted with the food and service that was provided. It was perfectly located to explore the surrounding wine country and San Simeon. While surprised by the lack of a TV, it really made no difference. The host and his helpers were very knowledgeable and generous with their recommendations. The other guests were so interesting and fun to talk... more

What a wonderful stay at the J. Patrick House! From the minute we walked in to the moment we left........we felt SO comfortable and relaxed and pampered! The owners and staff put so much attention to every little detail.....from the generous, delicious breakfasts, to the evening wine and cheese hour, to the CD's in your room...to the cookies and milk... more

Breakfast was fantastic, and the rooms are very comfortable. Our hostess was so warm and welcoming and full of great recommendations for local restaurants and sight seeing. The garden is lovely, and the garden room is really charming. We had a wonderful time. Wine and cheese in the evening. Cookies and milk in the evening. Really wonderful. more

We've been to JPH years ago for Valentine's day, and returned 5 years later for our anniversary. First time we stayed at the Kilkenny room, this time we chose the Donegal room. Spacious, charming, romantic, clean, stylish, gas/wood burning fireplace in the room, full bathroom. John is a great host and creates wonderful breakfast masterpieces. The first night innkeeper Lori... more

This was our third stay at the JPH and perhaps the best we've had even when the power went out all over town. The weather provided the perfect outlet for having a quiet evening in front of the fireplace. Breakfast was as good and the other guests were great to chat with during the wine and cheese hour and during... more

We stayed for two nights at the J Patrick House in Cambria. We had a lovely stay in the B&B and stayed in the Limerick room. Cambria is beautiful place and we visited the Big Sur, Hearst Castle and saw many Elephant Seals near San Simeon. Breakfasts were great and the owners friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations.... more
