I wish I had read the reviews. About as dismal a place I have seen. Rude people, awful rooms. Not one good thing other that it is by the ocean. Lots of other choices. I guess I will have to see what other charges they come up with for me. more

My significant other and I,long with my sister stayed in the then new suites upstairs from the regular rooms. this was the 2nd year we stayed at the mariner's inn. prevously we stayed downstairs at the room facing the ocean. the "regular" room we stayed in was good by normal motel standards, but the suites upstairs are the way to... more

Decided to stay in Cambria without checking any ratings. Picked Mariner's Inn because of the price and then went for a walk on the beach right across the street and watched a beautiful sunset. We also walked along the boardwalk to an excellent dinner. The setting was unmatched, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast had some local rolls that... more

i reserved a room with this hotel two weeks in advance, and after reading the comments on tripadvisor, i decided to cancel my reservation with them the very same hour i made the reservation. two weeks later, they charged my credit card for 2 nights stay. i have called them, emailed them, left messages, and no one returned my calls... more

Stayed here for 1 night in June. We'd missed the last tour at Hearst Castle so wanted somewhere nearby so we could set off early in the morning (5-10mins away). We were allowed to look at the room before we checked in, and were actually given a choice of a few rooms to choose between. Room was very large with... more

I would be charged with cruelty to animals for allowing a dying dog to stay in the room we were in. The bugs were rampant, requiring that we keep all our bags off the ground. The ``Continental Breakfast`could have come out of a bakery dumpster that had not been emptied in 4 days. I have never stayed in an actual... more

This seemed like a charming place for my wife and I to spend our 21st wedding anniversary. We had made reservations a week or so before based upon a couple of references. However, the charm wore off upon our entry to the office. We were greeted by a sullen and rude woman, who, from the sound of her accent, appeared... more

I picked this inn because it was by far the most reasonably priced along Moonstone Beach, and the room was passable. The good: - the location - comfy bed - the rate (69 Sun-Thu, 89 Fri, 119 Sat, mid-Sept 2008) - free wi-fi The bad: - ill-fitting doors that have to be pushed hard to close, sometimes slammed - management... more

We booked a king room after seeing their website, which is very deceiving. Upon arrival the desk person was the least friendly person, especially for someone dealing with the public she was down right rude. I wondered if we had made a mistake coming here but decided to try the room. What a dump! The door would stick and needed... more

charged my credit card $25 two days after departure because "tv remote was missing". Remote was returned at checkout with room key. I was told everything was fine & then I find an unauthorized charge on my credit card statement. Management will not return phone calls. Desk clerks keep changing story -- "remote lost" "remote found" "key missing". Promised refunds... more
