My husband and I booked and stayed at the Green Gables Motel when moving to Burney, we ended up staying for nearly 3 weeks. It is a lovely Motel, very clean and the staff were always helpful. It has good parking facilities, free wi-fi and great cable channels. It is located close to the Pharmacy, some great diners and also... More

The front desk staff is friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The rooms that I have stayed in are clean and for the most part well kept for an older motel. I would recommend this motel when staying in Burney. There are only five motels in this town and from my point of view thus far, this one... More

We stayed here for three nights in Burney and were very comfortable. Clean and quiet, with many upgraded features in the room - free wi-fi, nice TV, refurbished bathroom, equipped kitchenette. We used this as our base for Lassen VNP and Mt Shasta and were very pleased with it. The rooms filled up with people travelling after about 4pm but... More

We were a family of 6; 2 seniors, 2 adults and 2 kids We stayed their for one night on our way to McArthur Burney falls. This was a neat little place, 2 beds with kitchen and a yard. Continental breakfast is good. The kitchen had all the items needed to put together a good meal. Linens and bathrooms were... More

We stayed year years ago. We liked it then, and we like it now. The rooms are very rustic. They are not big but that's OK. The place is not new but the owners keep everything clean, working, and up to date. It's a great place to stay to get the feeling of an small town out in the country. More

Made our reservation for Fri., Aug. 6, 2010 due to past good reviews & hoped for the best. Checked into the office, which is between the Green Gables & the Charm Motels on the East side of the road, obviously having the same owner. We were very pleased with our small, but clean & cute room. It came with a... More

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Green Gables. Upon check in, the staff was friendly. Although the motel seems very outdated, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was larger than many but there was no place to set your toiletry bag. The room was quiet even though the motel is right off... More

The Green Gables Motel is a throwback to the good old days of personal, road side motor lodges. The simple facts are that the hotel is right on the highway (HWY299 50mi. outside of Redding and close to the junction HWY89 going to Shasta or Reno), very clean and recently refurbished. It is quite quaint and 'old school'. I was... More

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small and clean and the bed was comfortable. But our room evidenced lack of maintenance. Things just did not work well. The noisy air conditioner had an on-off switch but no thermostat and no fan speed control, so we were up during the night to turn it on and off. Two... More

First, this hotel is well managed, clean, and in a superb location to visit Burney Falls State Park as well as Lassen Volcanic National Park. That said, it is probably not going to meet the expectations of many as a resort hotel. It is functional and used by the many contractors and service people active in the area. There is... More
