Toasty warm rooms, set back from the road with a nice view from our deck through the trees of the snow falling, everything works, front desk friendly. If you need modern ambience, cappucino, marble bathrooms or nouveau curtains and furniture, go stay at a nice resort and pay four times as much. Tahoe Inn is older, but it's just fine and... More

The Pool was closed by the health inspector. That's where it all begins. Peeling paint, dirty carpets, rude staff. More

Well, you can guess from the price this isn't going to meet your expectations. But, there are things beyond just being a cheap beat up... well... hotel, I guess? First floor is actually half basement, and you will see bottom of the parking lot from your window, it also obstructs much of the light. But - there is more fun... More

We just returned to the Bay area from a weekend stay at Tahoe's north shore. If you look for a budget hotel that's right at the Nevada border (across from CalNeva hotel), then this is the place to stay. There are rates starting at 39 dollars, but don't expect Hyatt Hotel type accomodations at that price. You'll get the old... More

Reserved a "queen superior room" and upon arrival the toilet was non-functional, not to mention the room was awful. When I went to the check-in desk to notify them about the toilet, I was told that this toilet had apparently been in disrepair for at least a week. We were switched rooms and ended up in a room facing the... More

Three of us checked in. The first thing we noticed was how dirty the carpet was. The pillows were flat and they would not provide additional pillows. The wiring is so outdated. The sockets only accept two-prong plugs. They did loan us ONE adapter (we had 3 laptops so had to take turns online). Plus, one of the wall plates... More

We paid 97/night, and went there........OMG!!!!!!!! I had a camera and made pictures of: dirty carpet with tons of spots, cracked paint, holes on the blankets and more........We were very tired and with kids- so we stayed 1 night; barely could touch something. This hotel MUST be inspected and closed forever! As California resident feel embarrassed for Golden State. Next morning,... More

This place should be closed down by the health department. They pre- charge your room cuz they know your going to leave when you actually see the place. So nasty we left and didn't care we didnt get our money back. Two other families were leaving when we did as well. Heard from some locals it's like a halfway house... More

We stayed at the Tahoe Inn for a night. The first room we were given smelled of smoke and (gulp) bodily fluids. The second room we got was fine, by one-star standards. The hot tub that we were very much looking forward to was out of order. This is a place that is PERFECT to stay at if you are... More

I asked for an upper floor, which I got, but it looked out on the adjacent uphill parking lot so there was NO privacy. The vertical blinds were missing TWO slats so they would not close at either end, eliminating any privacy whatsoever. The door lock was something one might find on a bedroom in a private home. I had... More
