Rooms are clean comfortable and well furnished with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker. Especially enjoy the outdoor picnic area and BBQ grill in park like setting. Have stayed several days each of last 4 years and make a point of returning on travels. Locally owned and managed and owner gives warm welcome. Knowledgeable about nearby sites. Will stay again.

This is a charming motel inside and out. The motel property is studded with yard art, very cute. Room was nice, well maintained and clean. We went there on a fishing trip and appreciated the fish cleaning facilities and a "fish freezer." Best of all is the owner/manager who gives this motel it's personality. He was helpful and personable. I... More

At $77 including tax, not sure if this is high for the town, or not. Other than that, we loved the place. Had weird and interesting statues and artwork on the grounds. Room was smallish, but cozy (was very cold). Had frig, microwave, coffeemaker, wifi and tub. Walking distance to Rhino Bar, which was convenient after a tough driving day.

We stayed 2 nights recently in Room 27. We were traveling with a small dog and were pleasantly surprised to find such a well kept room! It seems to me that the owner(s) must spend a lot of time thinking about how they can make a person's stay comfortable because everything was well thought out. The room and bathroom were... More

My friend and I just stayed at the Redwood Motel for the 10th year for our annual four-day fishing trip. We get two adjoining rooms and have been placed in nearly every room there. If you're looking for a "Marriott" experience, you won't find it here...or in Bridgeport, for that matter. If you're looking for clean, quiet rooms, you should... More

The Redood Motel is OK. We made reservations ahead of time, and showed up to stay. The property is a bit run down, but well-kept and clean. The price on the room wasn't bad for mid-summer (around $100.00). The motel looks like it was built in the 50's and has the old style air conditioner in the wall by the... More

Contacted hotel, Ed Ray, to ask about rates. Couldn't get a straight answer. Asked how much for 1 room, 2 adults ... Mr. Ray asked if I wanted one bed or two or 4. Why would I want 4 beds?? Then Ed asked what date. Mr Ray said "I cannot price a room without knowing all relevant information." For me,... More

This was a driving break between Yosemite and Truckee, as we are travelling with a 21 month old toddler. We stopped by for 1 night, and it was reasonable for the price, although, it is a little different with all the farm animals out the front, and all the knickknacks inside the reception area... We had a king room which... More
