Spur of the moment trip for my wife and I. We decided to stay at the Palms at Indian Head. Neat place old time Hollywood resort with a beautiful pool and a nice sunrise view. Had a nice lunch on arrival and decided to try the dinner. Sat down with a glass of wine and ordered. Hour and a half... more

We have repeatedly enjoyed the classic Palms at Indian Head Hotel. Recently had a fabulous meal at their Krazy Coyote restaurant of seared fresh Ahi Tuna over chef's special mandarin salad. Absolutely mouth watering delight that could have been a dinner all by itself. Gorged on NY steak dinner with mushrooms, mashed potatoes and their special glazed onions and sauce... more

Well I have to admit that my experience at this hotel comprises all the good and the bad what has been already said about the hotel. The surroundings do resemble a landfill not because of the ruins but because of the litter. I also ended up w/ the door handle and the lock in my hands attempting to open the... more

A friend from Canada and I visited Borrego on April 17th. Again, it was a wonderful, serene respite. I like the Palms at Indian Head for its simplicity and dedication to the premise of relaxation. The rooms are furnished simply but with the amenities of good toiletries, a microwave, coffee pot and small refrigerator. I have stayed many times and... more

Funky & yes, there are parts that need to be updated, or ruins removed, but look at it as a work in progress. Can't beat the view and scenery; excellent restaurant and service. Room is roomy and clean, microwave and fridge. Could have had a hair dryer inroom. Who cares that there are few guests when you're there. more space... more

If you are looking for a commercial property with all the amenities of a Marriot this is not it. However if you want a serious getaway with quaint charm and a simple rustic elegance, this is it. The food is great and is comparable to a fine restaurant, the pool is enormous and the sunrise is to die for. This is... more

This property was obviously renovated on a shoestring budget---and never quite completed. The grounds surrounding the hotel looks like a landfill---dead trees, bushes, crumbling remains of old buildings that have not been removed since this property was so called "renovated". The work that was done on the hotel, is now so old that it too is in need of maintence... more

This was our second visit to the Palms and it was as great as the first. This is a small historic hotel with a lot of space. The pool was the perfect temp considering the air temp was 100+ degrees. The staff members were great. They leave you to enjoy your vacation, but are there to help if you need... more

Don't be fooled by the website. The hotel hasn't been properly maintained in about 10 years. Worse, no one is there. In my 4 day stay, I only saw 2 people, 1 on the third day and 1 on the fourth day. Finally, I didn't have any hot water in my room, and when I called the front desk and... more
