Brick Path is a secret, tucked away spot in a 5* location. Park your car and walk the delightful Berkeley paths, walk to Solano Ave for a range of exotic restaurants & for a bookstore browse @ Pegasus. Shop for clothes or grab a great coffee drink @ Pete's. Andronico's market is 1/2 block away if you want to dine... More

Trust Wendy Sprague to take good care of you. The Fireplace Room, the most affordable, is spacious, beautifully maintained, and there's that fireplace to keep you warm and add that special ambiance. Room is super-clean, which is a must for me. Parking is easy breezy and just around the corner is a cool street with two cafes/bakeries for which Wendy... More

From the personal email responses from proprietor Wendy Sprague before the trip, to the effort to make everything as pleasant as possible once we were there -- the Brick Path Bed and Breakfast is perfect in every way. The location is fantastic for those wishing to be in a Berkeley residential neighborhood, and yet the proximity to Solano Avenue and... More

The Brick Path is such a calm oasis, located in a residential neighborhood but close to all amenities--it's only a block from a gourmet grocery store, the post office, the bus line, a used/new bookstore, a movie theater, varied and fantastic restaurants, clothing stores, and coffee shops. Wendy Sprague is the perfect hostess and provides everything you need, including hair... More

Wendy is the best hostess--she thinks of everything. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the rooms are immaculate and decorated with taste and creativity. The surrounding area is quiet and beautifully landscaped and lighted, and breakfast in the garden is a treat. Within a block or two: cinema, bookstore, fine ethnic dining, and coffee. The bus stop to the UC... More

I stayed at the Brick Path Bed and Breakfast this past week for 3 nights while visiting the Bay Area for a professional conference. My room was spacious, beautiful, clean and private, and even had a piano and music that I took advantage of. Wendy Sprague, the host, was very accommodating and kind, and the breakfast she brought each morning... More

The Brick Path was exactly what we were looking for when we stayed in Berkeley. It is conveniently located, but very quiet. Its near the best restaurants, coffee shops, etc, but has its own private garden/ outdoor seating. Wendy is a wonderful host, who does a great job of giving you suggestions and advice about restaurants/ place to go/ directions,... More

I found that East-Meets-West Cottage was the perfect spot ito get away from the ice and snow of Philadelphia in February, and this year there was lots of both to escape. Because I was staying a month, I wanted a studio with a small kitchen, and what I got was perfect for my needs. (It's a "housekeeping" cottage; so I... More

Spent 2 nights with my family (3 of us). We stayed in a cozy self-contained room behind the main house, in a residential/commercial area of North Berkeley. Wendy was gracious and helpful from the day we made the reservation. Loved the location - Solano Ave with shops and buses are around the block, but we walked many times back and... More
