What's better than sitting on your king bed (where you had a great sleep), looking out at the bay (50' feet away) smelling fresh brewed coffee a short walk away (the walk is through an English garden of beautiful flowers) while catching the morning news. Then being lured back to the coffee house to have a home made frittata with... More

Great Staff, Cozy place...as close to the water as you can get. Good breakfasts...get there early as the line gets long and local;s eat there too. Everyone was very friendly....We will be back for another vacation.

We stayed at the Back Bay Inn a few years ago, the gardens are even more beautiful now. The inn is a great stop while driving from Big Sur/Monterey to Santa Barbara. This time we went into San Luis Obispo, great little town for lunch. The Back Bay Inn now owns the adjoining coffee shop where we got our free... More

What a wonderful stay. Very peaceful and loved the room with front and rear entrance. The rear entrance faces out onto the bay and each little porch area is covered with flora to provide a sense of privacy. Love the little Back Bay Cafe on the premises where you get a great breakfast as part of your stay. The gals... More

This is our 2nd time to the Back Bay Inn and it was as good as the first time. We would sit on the balcony from our 2nd floor room and just watch the tide come and go. It was as peaceful and relaxing as it could be. The room is a good size. The carpet is starting to show... More

This is a nice, quiet hotel, located away from the busy tourist areas. It is located right on the back of Morro Bay. Views from the room, and from the front porch, include the water, small boats, and shorebirds. The complimentary breakfast is a free pass to a delicious breakfast at the cafe located in the same parking lot. You... More

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay in Los Osos. The Back Bay Inn was perfect for lounging around or accessing the Montana de Oro State Park- a must see! The breakfast was provided at the cafe across the way and was very yummy. We also enjoyed the afternoon wine and snacks. Will definitely be back to this b... More

We were so glad we discovered this little spot located on a beautiful bay. Our room was very affordable and came with an amazing breakfast at the Bayback Cafe, a staple with the locals. Our room was nothing fancy, but very clean and the bed was SUPER comfortable. The Inn's beautiful grounds make up for any aesthetic lacking in the... More

This inn has had so many good reviews already. I am just adding to the voices. It was everything people said. Lovely views, quiet, good breakfasts. What I also liked is that it is completely unpretentious. If you want a place to "see and be seen" this is not it! If you like casual and friendly people, especially people with... More
