Booked 3 chalet's on 20th September for one evening. Like other members this is nothing more than some old cabins which are in desparate need of updating and decoration. This place is GREAT! The chalets are perfect for our family of 4, a little rustic, but a far cry from a hotel in town 7 miles away, they have kitchens, living rooms and lofts for the kids to play in. Our room was not ready at the 4 pm check in time and we were not able to get into the room until 6pm. The room was dated and run down. Not worth the money for sure! The only good thing was the really nice morning front desk staff who gave us a discount for our troubles. more

I don't know how anyone could recommend the Pines Resort to even their worst enemy. I paid over $350.00 for one night at this dump. I feel I was robbed. The carpet was stained and dirty. I need to preface this by saying we usually stay at high end hotels, but we wanted to visit Yosemite and liked what we read about Bass Lake (just 14 miles South of Yosemite).
