We stayed here for two nights in May for our one year wedding anniversary. The food was phenomenal (esp. the cheesecake, I think it was raspberry), the service was fantastic and the view was amazing. We pass through Algonquin Park all the time on our way to Barry's Bay, but rarely stop anymore. It was nice to have time to... More

A pleasant resort,,but I think it is over priced for what you get. Food was good most of the time, lodgings not bad. Some updating needs to be done. There could be bar fridges, screened in porches, for cool nights an electric fireplace would be good. They could have a TV in the lounge for rainy days. Algonquin Lodge in... More

Firstly, we would like to thank Bob for his candid comments. We do feel though that in concentrating on certain limited specifics he has overlooked the total experience of staying at the Lodge. One need only look at the majority of rave reviews found elsewhere to see what we mean. More to the point, some of the things that he... More

This review is a bit later. We stayed as a couple in September 2011. Our cabin was one of the newer ones in the 'main lake' section. The cabin itself was beautiful and offered that Algonquin feeling we craved for. It had a private porch which was great to relax on and do a bit of reading. Didn't feel as... More

The cabins are small, very basic but comfortable. We had a lake view one that was a little away from the main road, although you could still hear it. The restaurant was nice, not exceptional. We had pack lunch every day, a dry-ish sandwich. some bits and a piece of fruit. i guess you have to pay to stay in... More

We have visited Algonquin Park many times, and have usually stayed outside the park gates, in cottages or rental properties. This time we were traveling with friends, and we agreed that this trip we would rather focus on our hiking, canoeing and enjoying the scenery and relaxing than cooking and cleaning. We checked out all the options, and while the... More

We were here over the Thanksgiving weekend with 4 teenagers and had a great time. Accomodations were comfortable (but a bit tight) and the meals were fantastic. The entire staff were friendly and helpful. The whole package was a bit pricey, but overall it was worth it.

We wanted to stay three nights in the Algonquin Park so we looked for an accommodation in the park. As every of the available lodge was very pricy we thought a lot about it but finally decided to book the Killarney Lodge. And it turned out to be the most wonderful accommodation on our whole Canada trip. The cabins are... More

Thank you so much for saying that the best thing about Killarney Lodge is the staff. We really believe so too! They are all friendly and attentive as you say ... and genuinely so. During the season we actually have a fulltime staff of 35, which is large for a resort our size. The average person has worked here for... More

Just returned from a wonderful four days at Killarney Lodge with my three siblings and their spouses. Algonquin Park is one of my favorite places, and both the weather and fall colours were spectacular. The cabins are rustic and very comfortable, and the sitting area in our cabin (18) was big enough for all of us to gather for a... More

I agree with everyone else, if you are not a camper and you would like to stay in the park; this is a nice alternative. We went here in august, absolutely had an outstanding spot on the lakefront. Did some hiking, canoeing and just enjoyed the peace and quiet and the breathtaking beauty of Algonquin. Definitely well worth the trip.... More

Thank you for saying that your stay was definitely well worth the trip ... even if you found it pricey. We agree with you that for a more "value priced" visit one could certainly stay at one of the motels or cottage resorts outside the Park and then drive in each day. But then you wouldn't be waking up each... More

I'm not a big "camping" fan... I'll admit that. So this was a nice compromise for the spoiled city boy. Very nice treat! Comfortable rooms in a beautiful surrounding, and excellent gourmet food. It's just so dang expensive! I'm just not used to a "hotel/resort" charging by the person. Even with the nice dinner included, if you subtract 100 or... More

Still it sounds like you did enjoy your stay. Thank you very much for the compliments. If you weren't happy with the Peak summer price range, might we suggest that next time you consider visiting in May/June. Our rates are significantly less in the spring and you have the bonus that the Park is a lot less busy. In fact... More
