We have now stayed at the plockton inn several times. The food is outstanding. Yet to have an average meal. The smoked seafood is excellent. Staff are really friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the atmosphere in the bar is great. We take our two dogs, which are well catered for and always more than welcome.

Rooms above the kitchen and bar are inevitably noisy and should be avoided by light sleepers. Rooms in the annex are generally quiet but if other residents are noisy then you'll hear them. Although unassuming the food is some of the best sea food I've eaten, the smoked salmon certainly is!

Four points of commendation here. First is the wonderful cuisine, drawing heavily and in rich variety on the products of the smokerie behind the Inn. Food is out of this world. We are always made very welcome and there is a lovely informal atmosphere. All staff are excellent. Rooms are all good and clean but the facilities in the two attic rooms are less good. The view compensates for this though. Pockton is a good base for touring around and for visiting Skye.
