Excellent value b&b in a croft about 1 mile outside Plockton with amazing views across to the Cuillins of Skye. We were greeted with a fresh pot of tea with home made cake on arrival by the owners who have lived in the area all their lives. No ensuite but the bathroom is for guests only. Very good breakfast too.... More

A traditional homely family croft, extremely peaceful location. Family room, extremely spacious, tastefully decorated and would sleep 5 adults comfotably with additional space for very young children. Views across to skye and islands are excellent. Traditional cooked tasty Scottish breakfast. Very warm welcome and an invite to 'pop in' for cup of tea if your back in the area. MANY... More

Wonderful stay with Joan and Ian that are so friendly. They helped us when we were down with the car by night in Skye Island. Ian picked us at eleven and brought us back at "home". Very nice rooms and the best breakfast of the world. Deborah, Renaud, Eleonore, Aubin and Ambroise

We arrived late and weary to a busy and full Plockton village. Had spied the sign to Driseach on the way, backtracked and wound our way along the drive to the house. We were welcomed, fed (overfed?)and entertained by an ebullient and helpful Joan, discussed beef prices and taxi driving with Iain and celebrated school athletics day success with grandsons... More

We arrived rather late on a weekend trip for my sisters wedding. On our arrival we were met by Joan and the most homely welcome followed by tea and cake. The family room was perfect for my wife and I and our two children. It was huge and met our needs perfectly with outstanding views over the Isle of Skye.... More

Driseach, run by Joan and Ian MacLennan, is a friendly B&B complete with Highland cows, within walking distance of Plockton, a picturesque fishing village close to the Isle of Skye. Whilst facilities may be reasonably basic – the rooms are not en-suite, for example, which may put some people off – this is more than compensated for by its location... More

I cannot praise highly enough the welcome we received at Driseach, the kettle being put on almost as soon as we stepped through the door for a much needed cup of tea after our journey. This was my first visit but I was made to feel at home straight away. The location is beautiful and, despite the weather, we were... More

We arrived late and were welcomed and made feel at ease immediately. The view from our bedroom was just perfetc: fields, leading to forests and the view of Skye in the distance. Joan was just like a mother: warm, welcoming, happy and generous. What else could we have wished for? Actually, an extra night was our dream, but it wasn't... More
