Santlllana del Mar is undoubtably pretty but very touristy. Tha Casa del Organista is a peaceful haven of tranquility within the walls but in a quieter part of the town/village. Secure private parking, open views from the back rooms over fields and historic buildings. Delightful staff, lovely buffet breakfast and comfortable rooms. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights with a small infant and found the staff wonderfully helpful. The house itself is very beautiful and Santillana is a good base for exploring the region ( 40 mins to Santander ). Pleanty of good beaches near by more

Had 2 nights in this lovely old building which has been beautifully restored. The buffet breakfast was amazing for the price (4.25 euros) and the staff (family members I think) were very helpful. A smattering of Spanish is useful in this area of Spain but the good thing is it's not overun with Brits or Americans. Really enjoyed our stay. more

A lovely hotel set in the centre of historic Santillana del mar. The hotel is full of character and our room had a great wooden balcony.
