The cottage at Flemingstown House was perfection. My family wanted to spend Christmas in a quaint Irish cottage in the countryside and we found exactly that. Imelda welcomed our family as soon as we drove down the lane and made sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable. The cottage was cozy and comfortable. The beds were all done... More

Flemingstown House was our introduction to the beautiful people of Ireland. Imelda welcomed us into her home and treated us like family. Our room was comfortable and had a fantastic view of the countryside. Breakfast was outstanding. Imelda provided sightseeing tips and travel advice. We look forward to having tea with Imelda on a future trip to Kilmallock. More

Hard to find. This was our first stop after arriving in SHannon . We are two ladies in our seventies who rented a car and drove to all the places we stayed in. We did find this one on Trip Avisor and decied to spend our first nite there. A lovely property and Imelda gretted us with open arms and... More

Stayed here when attended a wedding in nearby Castle Oliver. It was amazing - palatial rooms, beautiful bed linens and furniture, and the best breakfast in Ireland. Imelda even shared her recipe for homemade granola with us (served with rhubarb compote). Cathryn Costello More

This was my favorite place that we stayed during our 3 1/2 week tour of Ireland and Scotland. Imelda was a most gracious host, a fantastic cook (her homemade muesli is to die for), and her home is a great balance of comfortable and charming. She also perfectly balanced giving us privacy but was there to chat and give us... More

As I make my way along the drive to Flemingstown House I know I am about to receive an Irish welcome like no other.for this is the home of Imelda sheedy-King. Ireland's premier hostess.I know this to be absolutely true from five years of holidays in Kilmallock. she is without doubt one of the warmest people I have ever had... More

I visit Ireland at least once each year and Flemingstown House is my priority destination. There are local historical attractions, and its location lies within easy reach of Killarney, Cork, Cashel and the Burren in Clare, yet it is quiet and peaceful. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, and the whole atmosphere of the house is welcoming. This reflects the... More

Anyone looking for the perfect place to call home while on vacation, look no further! Imelda's country cottage was the perfect place to come "home" to each night. The cottage, located in mid-Ireland, is conveniently located to many of the top tourist destinations. The cottage is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath guest house situated on beautiful farmland. The main house... We stayed at this B&B as it was nearest to Castle Oliver, where a friend was having his wedding reception. Book a cab in advance if you attend a wedding there (it cost us a tenner from Castle Oliver to the B&B so good value). The hostess is perfect - she will not have you inconvenienced under any circumstances and... More

Flemingstown is a lovely farmhouse full of beautiful furniture in a pretty part of the country.it also has an exceptionally accomodating hostess. We were welcomed with tea and scones Irish style in the kitchen (the engine of the house) before going to our beautifully furnished and spacious en suite room. We had booked dinner and Imelda's spread did not dissappoint.... More
