A little about the resort - I've been to Seefeld many times, I learnt to ski here and now I come as my second, more relaxing, ski holiday every year. If you do a package you'll probably fly to Innsbruck which is a 25 min transfer. We came independently and weren't staying a whole week so travelled into Munich as... More

The Gasthof Batzenhausl is everything you would expect from a 3 star accomodation within Austria. The accomodation was small but clean and thats pretty much all you need, as your not likely to spend much time there with seefeld being such a busy and lovely place! Small hotel in a lovely position just outside town. Pleasnat dining room, friendly helpful staff ) not very good English) No cooked breakfast but delicious varied, rolls, bread and usual cereals, fruit, ham, cheese etc. Nice to have fresh orange juice too. 4 course evening meals were excellent, fresh food well cooked and prepared. Strange place - the main restaurant has live music, great food, friendly staff and appears really cosy and well run. If you stay half board at the hotel though, you are put in a silent side room with surly staff! Food is simple and typical for the Tirol - we found it OK for a change, but others were complaining....
