Having read the previous reviews I will keep my comments fairly brief as there is not a lot more to say and I agree with most; particularly the bits about the market area and buzzing motorbikes, very hard beds, so-called 'holy men', ageing hippies, amazing wall and ceiling decorations (particularly in the bathroom), views of the lake and ghats, total... This place is definitely NOT a palace but I have to say that it seemed to grow on us (my wife and I, and two friends) over a few days. At first I wasn't all that impressed but it turned out to be pretty adequate overall. It was relatively quiet most of the time though it was an auspicious Hindu... More

I wasn't really looking forward to this . Maybe it was the no meat/fish/eggs/booze constraint that the whole town shares. Maybe it was because there isn't a universally well-rated hotel in Pushkar. Maybe it was because having set myself the task of photographing the lakeside, I expected to find a very grubby environment and maybe a bit of hassle alongside... More

- Close to the lake and the Brahma Temple - Affordable rates - Good food - Decent rooms - At the time of the annual Pushkar Camel Festival the property is ideal to stay to be close to the fair ground

This property is away from all the noise. It has a beautiful view of the Ghats from the 3rd/4th floor. It is walking distance to the Brahma Temple- the only one in India. It is also close to the Prarikrama Marg . You can hear the bells at various temples along the Ghats at dawn and dusk, as they ring them during... More

My second visit to Pushkar Palace. The most beautiful thing about this place is its on the lake. However, the sitout facing the lake has been closed and is in no way a "Palace". Room was adequate with a clean bathroom and a private balcony with a nice view of the lake. The bathtub leaked on the first night and... More

To begin with the location is pretty good with great views of the lake, everything else is below average. Frequent power cuts which I understand is acceptable but no power for 4 hours a day is fairly ridiculous for a hotel. Badly decorated, the whole place could do with a lick of paint. The restaurant has a fairly adequate menu... More

We've been to Pushkar 7 times and haven't yet met a hotel we would necessarily recommend. The location is good (nice view of the ghats from rooftop restaurant which serves decent Indian food) and out of the major hustle and bustle (so quiet compared to other locations we stayed - though if your're going in wedding season or camel fair,... We stayed here because it was Camel Fair time - so rooms were at a premium and we had this booked for us. We've been to India 10 times, over 7 years, so I'm on board with what lodging means in India. This place is poor value. Dirty ... and not just India dirty, but garbage in the nice gardens,... More

The worst hotel that we stayed in India, What should i say against the hotel? dirty! dusty! no hot water! The most important was I met a con man who claimed himself as Holy man at the front desk of the Hotel, the receptionist(or manager?) was given confidence and guarantee to us that he is a good man and can...
