This hotel is situated in Hampi within easy rickshaw ride to all the temples. Although a bit run down it does benefit from having a lovely garden to sit in when you need a respite from temples. The place was quiet (January) and the staff very friendly. Overall we had an enjoyable and inexpensive stay in this hotel.

Mayura Bhuvaneshwari is a good option for staying in Hampi. Rooms were a bit small but otherwise OK. Stayed here with family for 3 days on a vacation during end of Dec2011. I was able to check-in early. At the same time, I had to check-out early too. The place is just OK. We enjoyed our stay. It is true that the hotel is a little characterless, but the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were a bit dark, but clean and comfortable. It is a great place to start seeing some of the most important sites in teh Hampi area.
