Stayed here on recent self-drive tour of Jordan with my partner. Arrived at night and checked-in quickly. Seemed that the only people staying here were with an Italian tour group. Kept being spoken to in Italian! The room is adequate but the decor is very dated! View from our room was great but there were no chairs on the balcony... More

Room had a bad smell. Bathroom was too small and the bathtub is a joke. Front desk staff not too keen to help when asked for room change. Only one restaurant which serves buffets and service was average. Food was all right. No room service available. Pool and gym area was too cold. No heaters/air conditioning no staff and hardly... We booked this as a 5 star hotel but it was definately not. More like 3+ The room was sparsely furnished and lacked space for clothes. Two queen size beds were comfortable and the balcony looked out over the hills. There was no safe in the room and the bathroom was very small, room for one at a time only.... More

We were shocked when we arrived at the Nabatean Castle. Not a 5 start Hotel, 3 stars because of the lobby, nothing else, Rooms are outdated, old style furnishings, service is terrible, bartender was a bedouin guy that had no idea how to make cocktails, we got an upgrade to a EXECUTIVE Suite after I complained about our room...that was... Good position with lovely views at sunset. Main lobby belied a slightly run down and tired interior. Rooms were adequate, bathroom small with low arch so not good for taller people. Plumbing was poor (we asked for ours to be attended to 3 times in 2 days and nothing was done). Business centre only ever had 1 internet machine working.... More

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Petra and has a panoramic view of the entire area. You definately need a driver since the town is not in walking distance. The rooms were quite nice in excellent conditions and decorated in simple and good taste. The bathroom could have been more spacious. The food was very good not only... More

As part of an organised tour stayed there for 3 nights. The hotel is out of town on its own - a Marriott is about 1/2 mile away - high in the hills above Petra town. Most of its' business is tour groups, our first night it was packed, nights 2 and 3 much quieter so much so they didn't... More

Stay at this hotel if you like peace and quiet great views and have a car or driver. Food is good in the evening at the buffet and the chef came and helped us with the local cuisine. Drinks are no more expensive than other hotels in Jordan but this is expensive to us. Quite basic in some areas such... More
