Stayed at Marriott Petra from 5th Jan and check out today Room 801 Pros: nice view to Petra mountain ranges, friendly staff, fast check in. Cons: room had a damp smell, the clock alarm was faulty and keep on making alarm noise every hr, breakfast was very limited, shower was very old, tv stations either were blocked or no signal,... We arrived late to the hotel after driving from Amman. The hotel is centrally located and was comparable to the Marriott hotels in the US. The hotel was a little on the older side and could use a little updating in the rooms. The breakfast was good in the morning before touring Petra all day. More

We staryed at the Marriot Petra on the 30th and 31st of December 2011. The only good things to say about this hotel are the staff will help where they can and the views are amazing. Thes are the only assets of this hotel. When the bar shuts at 10-45 on new years eve then i think they have a... More

We just got back from a fabulous holiday in Jordan, and we stayed at 3 Marriott hotels...out of which 2 were more than satisfactory. However Petra Marriot was NOT a Marriott hotel by any standards. An earlier review commented on the bathrooms and I have to agree - They were old, tired and worst of all, had the SULPHUR rotten... More

Fantastic views of the mountains around Wadi Musa, staff is very helpful too. They are a bit mean on the Internet as they charge £5 (in JD) for 1/2 hour access! A real rip-off! NOt what one can expect from a 5 star hotel. It's also far from Wadi Musa/Petra (4,5 kms) - so that one needs taxis all the... More

Stayed at the Marriott in Petra/Wadi Musa for 2 nights. It is a luxurious property, with well furnished, spacious rooms, however the location is not so convenient as it is approx. 4-5 kms. away from the Petra Visitors Centre. The Spa and the Hammam need special mention. The staff is very helpful and well-mannered. More

One night is not enough for this hotel. Located overlooking Wadi Musa and only 5 minutes from Petra, this hotel should be the number one pick for all people coming to Petra. Staff were excellent, the room comfortable and large and even though we faced the main road noise was at a minimum. We enjoyed a quiet evening outside on... More

Nice hotel, food was a bit below par for a Marriott but great location and views from the terrace, old furnishings and not the usual Marriott standards and it needs a makeover! More

Not very well furnished..old, well used furnishings in the room. Room was dingy looking and the bath room really was not good. Very difficult to flush the toilet. But the worst part was the bath smelled like sulphur (rotten egg smell) the entire time. YUK! We had been advised not to drink the water, nor brush our teeth with the... More

I stayed here for two nights to visit Petra. The room was very large, clean, and comfortable. It was a quiet hotel. I heard the Spa was good, but didnt manage to go there (unfortunately I tried calling to make a booking but no one picked up the phone?). My favourite thing was the view from the hotel-overlooking Wadi Musa/Hills... More
