When in Wadi Musa you must stop by Cave Bar for a drink. Situated in a 2000 year-old tomb (empty) it's an experience not to be missed. It was a quiet night when we were there, so we were lucky enough to get an annex to ourselves and have a little privacy.
They have a large dinner and drinks menu,...

we stayed at the Crowne Plaza over the Easter break this April, with our two kids (5 and 6). We had to take two interconnected rooms on the 2nd floor, facing the back. This turned out to be a good thing: both rooms were extremely quiet, and we had no problems whatsoever with them. As many others have written, this...

We were travelling to Petra with our two children, ages 10 and 11 and we had to get two separated rooms. At the beginning I did not understand the reason, however once we got the rooms I understood why: the smallest rooms you can imagine with just two single beds on each one of them.
Since I made the reservation...

We had been to Petra previously, but stayed at a hotel/resort out of town. This time, we decided to opt for "location" and chose the Crowne Plaza. Boy, was this a mistake?
The room we were given was right above the entrance of the hotel and it seemed like there was constant activity outside our window all night with tour...

And that's a nice surprise. Hotel is part of the Crowne hotels. Very friendly people & reception. Rooms are big and clean. Everything's very neat ! A nice 4 star hotel Good breakfast too !
We stayed two days at the Crowne Plaza Wadi Musa. It was undergoing major renovations, so we were lodged at he Guest House, a smaller part of the hotel. Altough smaller and with less amenities than expected, it was right next to the Petra gate, a huge advantage. Staff was courteous, rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a restaurant...

The Hotel offers a comfortable stay, with decent service and great access to Petra. Have stayed in Wadi Moussa on earlier trips and some hotels are more modern and have better facilities. But the crowne plaza stands out for it's proximity to Petra, unobstructed views, peace and serenity. Breakfast was nice. They could improve their dining options.
Do. Not. Stay. Here.
Holy crap this hotel is a trip. What a time warp. This hotel was the first hotel in Petra and it has not been touched, remodeled, etc. since then. Absolutely strange. So we ended up here after the hotel we originally booked was oversold and they "upgraded" us here. Five star hotel?? Not even in a...

I stayed at this hotel on my first-ever trip abroad alone, so the fact that it was situated just 100 m away from the visitor entrance to Petra was great, esp. when walking back from the 'Petra by Night' show on my first night.
The room was decorated in cheerful colours but was a little cramped with the twin beds,...
