Not having made a reservation, we'd walked into a few neaby hotels and La Maison was by far the cheapest. A great hotel right at the entrance of Petra. Excellent modern rooms and clean bathroom. The staff was excellent and went out of their way to help us. The Manager, Mr Mahmoud did his best to make our trip a memorable one. No matter how long your stay is in Petra, look no further than the La Maison

We stayed at this hotel for one night on April 30 which was booked by our tour operator. We had a good stay at this new hotel (I'm really not sure if its new or newly refurbished) having to walk for 5 minutes only to Petra gate. “Great Stay”

Stayed here 3 nights and loved it. One of the days was my birthday and the staff were brilliant. I was presented with the most beautiful birthday cake by the staff who duly sang 'Happy Birthday', a highlight of my holiday. Overall the staff were always helpful and friendly. Great location near to Petra Gate.

Wadi Musa is definitely not a place to find value for money as regards accomodation, especially close to the gate to Petra, but La Maison seemed to be one of the best bets, along with the Petra Moon hotel (which was my first choice but unavailable for our travel dates). We stayed in the La Maison for two nights and deeply felt the money-driven attitude they hold for the tourists. Not saying there is no good in La Maison, but comparing with the cons, it's trivial. Unlike the rest of Jordan which tends to make the tourist feel special and valued, wadi miss has become a tourist town where the tourist is a resource to be mined riuthlessly.
