Last night we (two couples age 60+) came back to Israel after a three days trip to Jordan. For most of us, this was our first time to enter Jordan. Obviously, the highlight was Petra, but we wanted to visit famous historical and archeological sites on our way to and back from Petra. We decided to enter Jordan by the... More

There wasn't many hotels in Wadi Musa 27 years ago when I visited Petra last time. Now it looks like there isn't anything else than hotels; one bigger than the other. Some of the bigger hotel complexes representing luxourous chains are more or less a disgrace for the place. However, Petra Sun Set Hotel represents the good-old-no-frills-back-to-basics-family-run-budget hotel, which still... More

I booked one night here and ended up staying 4. The location was just perfect. It took 2 minutes to walk to/from the bus station and Petra. There were numerous supermarkets and restaurants on the doorstep so I never needed to go up the hill to Wadi Musa. The hotel itself wasn't great and if not for the location, would... More

Not a terribly exciting hotel, but friendly staff and helpful. Used as was recommended earlier in my trip. clean room, nice food and the location to Petra makes it. Did not regret staying here, but was probably used to less than most others .

Room with ensuite shower room was clean and basic and so was the hotel hotel. Roof terrace not very attractive but it would have been too cold to sit out for long anyway. Breakfast nicely arabic (the eleven-year-old didn't think it was that great but still found plenty of egg, jam, pita bread, butter and orange cordeal to devour). Reception... More

Clean room with good bathroom, nice breakfast, friendly staff and good internet facilities. There are some good restaurants around the corner. It is a short walk down the hill to the entrance to Petra, a longer walk up the hill to Wadi Musa but if you are up to walking around Petra it shouldn't be a problem.

it's a cheap and fairly good hotel, we paid almost € 30,00 a night, breakfast included, for a double room with bathroom. We went in September 2009 and the fan was enough because it wasn't so hot and sultry. I suggest You to verify if now there are rooms with air conditioning, especially if You plan Your trip in July... Great location and price. The staff doesn't bug you but are helpful if you have questions. Clean rooms, basic breakfast and free internet. Last year I stayed at a place up the hill and I have to say - it was nice not having to make the extra trek. Would definitely return.

The location is fantastic within minuites walk to Petra gates. Our room was very nice, clean and with the needed amenities that made it a comfortable stay. Front desk was very helpful in arranging transportation to our next destination. Breakfast was basic. Computers with internet were availiable for use.
