Just arrived in Jordan three days ago and after a quite difficult way to go to Dana, we were granted with a nice welcome tea and a splendid view to the wadi dana. if you dont like to walkyoucan rest but it is very good to walk around and see all the panorama. we spent two days and the first... Dana village itself dates from the Ottoman period but was largely abandoned less than a generation ago as locals moved to nearby Qadsiyya in search of jobs. The abandoned Dana Village, is now being transformed into an eco-tourism destination with the village's dilapidated houses being restored for tourists and travellers Perched on the edge of a large natural gorge, Wadi... We spent 2 nights at the Dana Hotel in mid April when it was still quite cool at night. The room was basic with a rush ceiling, and the 'en suite' suffered from a lack of a shower curtain so that the floor around the toilet was soaking - very inconvenient. But there was hot water for showers. Food was... More

A basic hotel offering an authentic village experience. I agree with the other reviewers that your experience will depend on your expectations, it offers good value and even though simple, "average" rating is too harsh. As in many cheaper places in Jordan - you can't be picky with food, as you'll get what they have in, but it was really... More

We stayed at the Dana Hotel with our 3 kids (ages 8, 4 and 4) and my mother-in-law. This is a very basic hotel but charming. The hotel is housed in an Ottoman-era building and our rooms were small but clean, with small ensuite bathrooms (hot and cold water). They also have shared bathrooms but I can't comment on those.... Really I'd rate this somewhere between average and very good, as average is a bit harsh. It's super basic but we knew that before we came. The room was clean and we had a private bathroom. Sadly the shower wasn't working but Suleiman the manager was told and must have fixed it by now! The staff are friendly and we... More

This is a clean and basic room. The bathrooms vary in size and aren't much to look at, but the hot water heater is awesome and they provide soap and towels. It can be quite cold in the winter but they provided a heater for us and extra blankets and we felt quite cozy. There is almost nothing in Dana.... More

was recommended to stay here by Mosleh from the cleopetra hotel (wadi musa), travelled in Jan and was the only person in the hotel for the two nights i stayed, sometimes this is an issue as can be pretty boring/lonely, but I was made very welcome here by Suleiman and his team, place seemed to be a bit of a... My husband and I stayed at this hotel in November for two nights. We had a room with a private bathroom. The rooms are very basic and have no heating. However, there were warm blankets which kept us warm and toasty at night. There was no shower curtain or door, so when you had a shower the water went all... More

We stayed here one night in October and it was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. It is a very, small and charming place as is Dana itself(see it before it's turned into a major tourist stop) and though the rooms are basic, they are clean and comfortable, and the atomsphere at the hotel is friendly with dinner and...
