I travelled with my boyfriend and our friends (another couple) to Bansko from 1st-8th March 2008. When I read the previous reviews I was really not looking forward to my holiday but now I can safely say please take the other reviews with a big pinch of salt!!!! The hotel chateau is advertised as close to the gondola and resort centre; where in reality it is in the middle of a building site and old run down bulgarian housing. The shuttle bus to the gondola is the best idea; its pretty relaible and runs at peak times. we did not feel safe walking at night; as one night... More

Advertised as centre of resort and 4star, in reality required shuttle bus to gondoal and taxi to the ACTUAL resort centre ranged from 5lev to 25 lev and should be a 2star hotel food was disgusting, staff unfriendly and rude, hotel was dull and ugly. pool was not as great as advertised

A Christmas nightmare! Poor food, unhelpful staff, poor location. The buffet style food avaulable on half board was invariably undercooked and cold. There was little variation from day to day and some of our fellow guests suffered with stomache upsets. It was impossible to get any food out of resteraunt hours.
