We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks, while moving from Tuxtla. Having stayed at the Camino Real on the way to tuxtla, We knew that we didn't want to stay there.
The Bonampak is Tuxtla's oldest hotel, but was remodeled a few years ago. It still has an 80's look to it, though.
We booked one of the suites. It had two rooms, one with a king, and one with two twins ( kind of hard - all of them). It also had a dining table for four, a bar, and a living room with two sofas and a tv (Cable/ about 10 channels in English).
The room was spotlessly clean. The Bonampak is pretty small, and the staff has been there forever. They immediately treat you like family, and remember your likes and dislikes. My two kids felt safe and welcome.
There are three restaurants on the property. The cafeteria is open from 7am - midnight. It's an old fashioned coffeeshop, with good service, and very good food at great prices - a complete lunch for about US$7 There is...
