We spent Christmas Eve here which was amazing involving hill tribes a bazaar and elephants in the dining room bringing in Father Christmas! Good service and friendly staff. Food quite good but not overwhelming. Day with the elephants was fantastic a life experience not to be missed. Spent some of Christamas day in the gorgeous spa. Worth visiting the Opium... More

Gorgeous hotel and excellent food. But... the price as well was "gorgeous" : 600 USD/night for a room for 3. And for that price, internet access could at least be included and not charged as extra ! Quite ridiculous isn't it ?!

We stayed there as part of an Independent travel package. So it was pre-paid but our price for the package was excellent. We had a beautiful suite with a balcony. For $100 they offered us an upgrade to the suite. The regular room was beautiful but we went ahead and up upgraded to the suite because the price was so... More

we went to thailand april 2011 and this was by far our favorite part of the trip. I loved being by the pool and hearing the elephants. We did the one day elephant training which I will never forget.I wish we would have had more time to do the 3 day training and use the bikes to ride around the... More

We visited at the end of a long (very hot) trip though Cambodia and Laos in April, meeting up with a family friend and her boy. We loved the Anantara, especially the trekking with elephants. Watching them all have a bath in the river was just magical. We used an independent guide for tours to the hill tribes and up... More

Don't get me wrong the anantara is one of the lost treasures of the golden triangle. It has amazing rooms with huge bathtubs and a terrace with wonderful views. The spa is quite charming and the food to die for. We were sitting at the breakfast table and an elephant just came in to say hello!! All of this makes... More

We spent 3 amazing nights and days enjoying this authentic Thai retreat. Our children loved elephant trekking and learned so much from the mahouts. We also ventured to Myanmar and Laos on a day trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide Annan was extremely knowledgeable and took us to many interesting places. The staff at the hotel was always friendly... More

The resort is beautiful. The location is first class with views over Burma and Laos. As you wake up you can hear the elephants. It's a proper taste of authentic Thailand in the golden triangle. The food served was fantastic with plenty of options. The only two potential downsides were the prices for most things and the rooms weren't large.... More

Situated across Burma and Laos, we loved the place. We didn't understand the price they charge for the stay, as the hotel is beautiful but not incredibly amazing. The experience with the elephants was very nice, and even though the organization of our activities was sometimes not very good (they forgot about one of it and tried to put it... More

We stayed at the Anantara Golden Triangle resort while filming our TV series Animal Mechanics with the world's only wildlife osteopath, Tony Nevin, treating the elephants at the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF) and we simply could not have done it without them. After working hard in high temperatures with huge humidity as the weather teetered on the edge... More
