We checked into the Plantation Lodge after being in a tented camp for several days. We stayed in Plantation House which is actually a house with two adjoining suites. The space was huge with lots of windows and bright light streaming in. The Lodge was kind enough to allow us to have both rooms so we could have our own... More

We stayed at Plantation Lodge for two nights in the middle of a week long safari while we were visiting Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge is a bit off the beaten track but surrounded by all types of crops and fields. My husband and I were traveling with our 14yr. old twins and had adjoining rooms with a shared terrace which... More

This lodge was an oasis in the middle of Tanzania. It was beautiful and very far off the beaten track. It was a little far from the crater but the quality of the hotel made up for that. The grounds were well maintained, there was a pool, free internet and the food was excellent, great variety and beautifully prepared. I... More

My wife and I just returned home from a 10 day safari and two of the nights were spent here. This was by far the most luxurious place we stayed on our safari, however we were at mobile tented camps for the rest of the trip. We were upgraded to the "Zanzibar Suit" which is basically its own house and... More

We stayed here for the last night of a safari tour, following 8 nights of camps. Very nice and tranquil, a great place to end a safari and get ready to head for home. Very attractive buildings amid well-tended gardens, spacious common rooms, great service, very nice rooms with mosquito netting around the bed. Wi-fi in the garden, two complimentary... More

Very pretty gardens and coffee trees. Staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms were large and luxurious. Food was above average, and they had a good selection of wine There was even good WIFI.

Beautiful gardens with about 16 cottages scattered around. Loverly bar area with an additional outdoor seating area. We had African sounding background music most of the time. Staff very very friendly without overstepping the mark. Food was excellent, in particular the Avocado & Biltong salad - amazing! Gripes: we had tea and coffee brought to our room when we had... More

Very peaceful location amongst rich farmland. There were always birds singing. Lovely gardens, the staff kept them well maintained - just reminded us of an English country garden! Food was very good. You could relax with free coffee and cake in the afternoon after a day down in the Ngorongoro Crater, the entrance of which was only 14Km from the... More

What a beautiful oasis! The staff was extremely friendly and payed attention to the smallest details, the Belgian chef cooked exquisite food and the rooms had the most comfy beds. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The owners are a German family who also grow their own coffee (hence the name plantation lodge).

We stayed at Plantation Lodge for three nights as part of our honeymoon in Tanzania. We both just loved everything about the place. It is set in a magnificent setting, surrounded by farming countryside. The grounds are impeccably maintained- beautiful gardens, lovely pool and pretty buildings. The staff were a delight, making our stay very comfortable. I loved the outdoor... More
