What a surprise arriving at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge!!! We got there in the middle of a foggy day just as it was lifting and you could glimpse the crater and the lake way below us. The hotel is a mixture of safari lodge and english manor house...eclectic but it works. Rooms are extremely comfortable with a warm fireplace and great... More

This lodge is a must seen in life ! The quality and service is exceptional, rooms are mind blowing with luxury not expected in safari. Dining room and salon are equally exceptional, the decoration is of colonial style and you feel like if Stanley was going to enter the place ! Do not miss it and if you have time... More

Last October we stayed at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for three nights - it was absolutely charming and soooo romantic. To get the most romance out of our sojourn, we decided to ask for an in-room dinner on the second evening - what a great experience! …we even had to wait quite a while for the dessert to arrive because... One year later and this place still stands out as above outstanding. Situated over looking the crate, the lodge features unobstructed views of the Ngorongoro volcanic crater. The rooms (each in their own huts) are luxurious fitted with fireplaces, a super comfortable bed with down covers, a free standing tub and a Luxurious shower. You can see the crater from... More

The rooms are little cute huts with excellent amenities (including a fireplace!). The decor is outstanding! Our room even included a bag with a yoga mat and weights, as well as 2 pairs of rain boots and umbrellas. The views are spectacular! One could not ask for more! The food is really good. The staff is superb! Our guide to... More

I'm sure it's still as wonderful. Definitely worth the expense. This is a once in a lifetime kind of place.

We started our holiday here, and it set the standard exceedingly high. We had the honeymoon suite (same as the others, just tucked out of the way), and it was amazing. The views are out of this world, and the hospitality is the best we have experienced. Imagine Africa, who sorted the trip out for us, were also superb.

Chandeliers, fire place (lit every night), standalone bathtub, roses everywhere, Breadth taking views out of every window and door. Service was impeccable and food delicious. Situated on the rim of the crater, looking down into the caldera was game spotting opportunity each time. Heart warmingly romantic. Had to be reminded by the Maasai guard with a spear, walking us back... More

This was our last stop on a safari tour through Tanzania and it was a great way to end the trip. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and the service is impeccable. All in all we felt very pampered. The game drives were great too, although after having been through the Serengeti where you can off-road for the game drives,... More

Excelent hotel with fantastic view of the crater. Bedroom bathroom and toilets all look out to below the crater. Make sure you have yr binoculare, we spotted over 45 elephants walking in a line over the plains from our bedroom. Service is excelent after the game drive had drinks and was surprise with a bath drawn with roses ready for... More
