The accommodation at the manor house is gorgeous cape dutch vilas that are scatter in the luxe gardens. They are maintained to perfection and were spotlessly clean. We were on honeymoon and treated to private dinners in the garden and library and impeccable service We spent our first day horse riding near the hotel and enjoyed both lunch and dinner... More

This was one of the best experiences we've ever had. The Manor is set in the beautiful rolling hills of a coffee plantation. Each room is like a small villa. Front entry with tables and chairs, rear patio with lounges, overlooking the most beautiful view. The rooms are large, divided into sitting and sleeping. The very large bathroom was immaculate... I have traveled to dozens of countries and stayed in spectacular hotels, but, for some reasonsI will try to explain, the Manor was my favorite in the world. For me, that is a major statement. Maybe it was because our family of five had been on a very strenuous schedule on safari in Tanzania for a week before we arrived... More

It was a beautiful neo-colonial place full of old world charm. There were 20 suites in the compound, together with a reception house and a large central hall. There were two suites to each mini-manor, with entrances to the suites at opposite ends for maximum privacy. The suite was essentially a massive room divided by an open fireplace, with a... More

We stayed here in 2009 as part of our Honeymoon. The staff we excellent, the food we great and the accommodation and views were fantastic. The perfect antidote after a tough day on Safari. The fire in the bedroom that is burning when yo get in from dinner is something that really helps you sleep! This is a very well... More

We were on a 'fly safari' in February and one of hotels we were to stay at was the 'Manor at Ngorongoro'. We also had the choice of staying on the crater at another hotel, but chose this hotel instead. Wow! was I happy we chose this. We viewed the other hotels, and they may be closer to the crater... After a long day on safari it was a break to stay at the manor. Once there you can dine, lounge, and unwind with excelent food, service and restful ambience. Now getting there can be gruelling. The rood needs a little repairing.

This is another Elewana property and the place just oozes grace and charm. From the first glimpse as you approach it you know that it will be something special. In Cape Dutch style architecture, this gorgeous manor house is set in a coffee plantation, with manicured, fragrant gardens. The style of the resort must be designed to maximize privacy because... We arrived close to sunset at the Manor House in Karatu. We didn’t know what to expect, as our trip had been so amazing and this was our last night of the safari. When we got there it took our breath away as we were not expecting such a beautiful property. The property was amazing with horse stables, a wonderful... More

We planned our safari through &Beyond, and their Ngorongoro Crater Lodge was full for our dates there, so they recommended we stay at The Manor - what a great recomendation! The hotel is beautiful and peaceful - it used to be the manor of the coffee plantation. The plantation still exists but the house is now a hotel. The rooms... More
