We have stayed at this hotel at february 2012 on our way from Safari to Zanzibar. I believe, this was the best choice possible at Moshi for the price we payed! Pros: - booking was easy, Hussein, the hotel manager was very helpful and quick. We did not need to purchase anything in advance. His english was perfect. Pure satisfaction.... More

My brother got severe altitude sickness and was taken off the mountain, Luckily, our tour company brought him back to the Parkview Hotel, which was a comfortable place for him to convalese. It was a great choice, as the rooms were clean, good restaurant on-site, tv, a nice pool and patio. It also had free internet... which was especially great.... More

Overall this is a nice hotel (especially for Moshi!) with great views of Kili and a nice pool and patio area. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was nice, and they even upgraded our room for free. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Moshi.

Pros: Nice clean rooms. Sufficient hot water for showering. Efficient breakfast staff. Lovely patio/pool area. Great views of Kili. Gated for safety. Cons: Motel electricity (A/C) doesn't always restart after power outage, and you need to shut the windows to minimize the outside noises. Rooster noise all hours in back rooms. Staff stand around waiting for tips. Neutral: Dinner was... More

This hotel, once inside the high walls and electric fencing typical of properties in developing countries, has a simple, pleasant exterior. There are outstanding views of Mount Kilimanjaro from the shaded 4th floor sitting area / deck. Overall, the grounds are clean and well landscaped with a relaxing pool and sitting area. The rooms are spacious and furnished simply but... More

We stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions before & after Kili climb & Safari trip, all the rooms we stayed in were clean & comfortable. Its 5 star by Tanzanian standards but you have to remember this is a developing country & standards are not what you would expect of 5 star in Europe or the States. We felt... More

Stayed here on 3 separate occasions before, after and between trips elsewhere. Found the place to be perfectly adequate. It's definitely not a 5 star hotel but the rooms are clean, there's always hot water, staff were generally professional and courteous and the hotel is conveniently located in town. That's quite good for Moshi, a small-ish town with not a... More

A decent enough place to stay for a night or two, but fairly charmless - no garden, a small swimming pool in full view of al the rooms (therefore apparently unused) and a cheaply furnished dining room with the ubiquitous widescreen permanently tuned to CNN. The rooms are large and serve the purpose. You have to pay for internet access,... More

We checked into this hotel at about 4pm and found the most unfriendly reception I have ever encountered in Africa. We requested for a room with a double bed and were given 2 joined single beds!!! These beds had very tiny beddings that seemed to have been slept in. The curtains fell apart on trying to draw them, and the... More

Good hotel to stay, but clearly bearing in mind that the alternatives are not great and that this is a developing country. Also stayed at the Lutheran hotel for one other night, which was much worse than Parkview Inn, even though it's the same category according to Lonely Planet guide and indeed not that much different in price. A good... More
