Wow! What a place. That's what runs through your head as you walk into Honey Badger. And the thought doesn't go away. Our room was amazing. You got the feeling that everything in the room had been made within 50 miles of the building. It was just so authentically African. Loved it. The electricity was on and off in an... More

The lodge is set close to 1Km down a rough road off the Arusha-Moshi-Dar Es Salaam road with a spectacular view of Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru on a clear day. The frontage gives a Misleading first impression of the lodge and can do with a facelift. Once inside you get a refreshing experience with very professional handling by proprietors... More

The staff at the hotel are polite and professional but if you do not speak the language, communication can be a challenge. Breakfast was always served as late as possible on request and was delicious. Not much else in terms of meals but they were happy to make something different for my children. Getting into town for a meal is... More

We stayed at the Honey Badger in mid March and it was an absolute delight. Nice and comfortable rooms, amazing swimming pool, lovely food and, most of all, lovely and helpful staff. The owners Jenny and Joseph were very attentive and always made sure we enjoyed our time there. The lodge is situated in Moshi, which was a perfect location... More

After travelling extensively through the Pacific, South East Asia, India and Nepal, we have never stayed at a hotel as exceptional as Honey Badger Lodge. Location: Nicknamed by a local as “the Zanzibar of Moshi.” The lodge is only a ten-minute drive from town (7,000-10,000 Tsh by taxi or 300 Tsh on a local mini bus), but is still far... More

We were part of a very large group that took part in the Kilimanjaro Marathon. The staff were attentive and flexible; they even made an early breakfast for us before the marathon at 5 am. The food menu was limited but perfectly adequate, and whilst there were some delays we were a very large group. The swimming pool was very... More

Enough said in the title. I am not sure how their management thinks it is perfectly okay to put two people together in the same room, when we booked and paid the deposit for two rooms! Be warned! (One man, one woman and both in relationships with partners who would not be happy with a shared room!) Then they had... More

We spent about 8 days at Honey Badger. The Executive room that we had was large and clean with everything working perfectly. The food was good. It was a set menu of two choices for dinner and lunch. Another menu was also available if one wanted. Breakfast always included several dishes. To be honest, I just felt like I was... More

It's not worthy to go ther AT ALL!!! The only good thing is that there is a nice pool (hard to find in Moshi), nothing else!!! Rooms are very aged and with lots of problems (lack of bulbs, broken door in the bathroom, toilets don't work properly...) and these in the alledgedly "Executive Rooms"!!! Breakfast is very poor and bad... More

This may be ideal for some people, but we didn't meet any. The lodge is very attractive and clean and our room was fine - if dark. Lovely gardens. Our complaint was that, despite the "blurb" on the site, there was no flexibility or willingness to listen to clients. "Welcome to rip-off Africa" and "We feel imprisoned within the walls... More
