Have just returned from this location after a planned 10 night stay was cut short by us to eight nights. In October we stayed 3 days at Bird Island Lodge. The island is a wonderful place in pristine nature. But we were disappointed about the management of the lodge. During 3 days no outdoor activities (boat trips, fishing,...) were possible, aside from the bird excursion with Roby every second day. Our complaints were useless. The small plane takes 30 minutes from Mahe and leaving the spare cases (10kg limit)at the airport with the airport police is no problem.
