This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in!! Our room had ants crawling everywhere - even on the bed. The soap they provided looked like somebody else's leftover soap and they had wrapped it in cling wrap. The tap to our sink was nearly falling off when we arrived. We lost our key to our room and they wanted... More

We only stayed one night, as we wanted to watch the rugby in town. Good location. The room was okay, the shower sprayed everywhere. Staff were ambivalent, and conveniently didn't get back to me about complimentary pick up from the airport. But it served it's purpose. Would I stay there again? No.

1st Part Solo - 1. "Yes" it is located right in town. 2. On arrival, the staff was nonchalant and they could not locate my reservation. 3. I ended up in a economy room plus aircon over looking the "pool" which is not filled. Rumor has it that they cannot afford the maintaince of the pool. 4. The lock to... More

We stayed here for a few days as part of our Tonga trip. It was very clean, and located right in the midde of town. The cleaning lady is a sweetheart! It's also located close to the Mermaid Bar, so it's never too hard to stagger back to bed at the end of the night haha.

Stayed at Pua's for our Tonga trip and had a fantastic time. We were lucky enough to be there in humpback whale season. We did a day trip with dolphin pacific diving who are licensed to let people actually swim with the whales! the visibility was amazing and these creatures were so beautiful! Make sure you go to mermaid bar... More

When we arrived we were tired and didnt know the area. Wanted a place to stay for the week on our honeymoon. We were not allowed to see the rooms until we had booked for the night because the the staff would not contact the manager to open the room without money paid. Backpackers was covered in cockroaches and spiders... More

(First, let me just state that this review applies only to the backpackers portion of the hotel. We did not stay in or see the regular hotel rooms.) This was our first time in Vava'u, and coming from Nuku'alofa we were a bit shocked about how expensive some things were. We got recommended "Puas Hotel" by a colleague who had... More
