This is a relaxed low key resort in super secluded Hunga Lagoon.  Caroline and Steve are great hosts; very welcoming, thoughtful and good company. They are also very knowledgeable about Tonga and about fishing, which made our visit that much more enjoyable.   Steve's knowledge about marlin fishing is incredible and he seemed to hook them every day.  Caroline is... We had 3 wonderful days at Ika Lahi in August 2012. This was our 3rd trip to Tonga and Ika Lahi is by far the best accommodation we have stayed. The location is perfect, peaceful and relaxed. Rooms are clean and well serviced. Caroline (Steve was away in NZ) is a fantastic host. Her culinary skills are superb. The food... More

We specifically went to Ika Lahi Lodge bercause the two men in our party wanted to learn where the best spots for fishing were. We organised to spend our first night of sailing on Hunga Lagoon for an early morning fishing departure. In communications with Steve it was clearly discussed that the men were not interested in Marlin fishing (which... More

We spent four lovely serene days at Ika Lahi in the middle of July, which is typically the coolest month in Vava’u. Some places in the tropics become considerably less fun if you don’t have clear skies and perfect sun to lie on the beach. Who wants to be in the resorts’ crowded (and often ho-hum quality) restaurants with cranky... More

Have stayed at Ika Lahi previously and it just gets better and better with each visit. Ika Lahi is a fabulous intimate lodge right on the edge of a lagoon on the small island of Hunga with it's own private golden sand beach right out front. Imagine sitting in a deck chair on the beach, cocktail in one hand and... More

This was our second visit to Ika Lahi Lodge, it should be pointed out that this is not a hotel/resort, it is however a game fishing lodge of international standard. Ika Lahi boasts a fine dining restaurant as part of the whole experience. So if you are looking for a lush tropical and serene location set on the shores of... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at Ika Lahi and can thoroughly recommend it wholeheartedly. It had been proposed to us by some sailing friends who had seen it from an anchorage in the Hunga Lagoon. We were looking for a comfortable resort for four days rest and relaxation after sailing from Samoa to Tonga. Almost everything about Ika... More

Ika Lahi provided one of the best family holidays I have experienced. Steve and Caroline are truly marvelous people that go out of their way to really make your stay as best as possible. The cuisine is just divine, fishing is miraculously unbelievable! And the staff are amazing friendly. If you decide not to fish there still are still heaps... More
