Ika Lahi provided one of the best family holidays I have experienced. Steve and Caroline are truly marvelous people that go out of their way to really make your stay as best as possible. The cuisine is just divine, fishing is miraculously unbelievable! And the staff are amazing friendly. If you decide not to fish there still are still heaps... More

I went on a 5 day fishing trip with some friends from New Zealand. The lodge is a short boat trip away from the main island of Vava'u, hidden away in a sheltered lagoon on an island. The resort has a number of "baches' which are basic but comfortable. Steve took out fishing every day and most days we hooked... More

While most resorts on the Vava'u islands of Tonga share tranquil beauty and white sand beaches, Ika Lahi trumps with its location at a large, calm lagoon on outlying Hunga Island. Also, although service and hospitality are great at the four resorts I visited, Caroline and Steve at Ika Lahi go an extra nautical mile. I am not a deep... More

For the past 5 years , we have visited Ika lahi annually , for our fishing pilgrimage. Wonderful deep sea fishing within 5 minutes of leaving the lodge. The effort of getting to Vavau is far outweighed by the delight of the surroundings. Carolines culinary skills are wonderful . It feels like coming home when we arrive there now. Steve... More

what great hosts, superb constructions from the Kitchen are a highlight of staying with this lovely couple in their private resort on a beautiful enclosed Island lagoon. Safe swimming and snorkeling right in front and absolutely stunning fishing on the drop of right at the entrance to the lagoon. A day out with Steve is not to be missed, he's... More

We were traveling with our two young children (5 and 2 yrs) for the 1st time out of the U.S. to meet with their grandparents that had moved to Asia. Caroline & Steve were wonderful hosts. Caroline was so friendly and accommodating (making PB & Js any time of the day) that our 5 year old wanted to call her... More

A perfect location , great facilties, with fantastic hosts is what a holiday is all about. Safe and clean, with excellent food; Ika Lahi provides an environment to either be an adrenalin junkie with big fish or a pampered holiday seeker. Your choice but both are available at the stunning Hunga Lagoon, the site of the Ika lahi. More
