We stayed here as part of our packaged Salt Flat Tour with Bolivia Travel Site. We didn't expect anything from hotel that come with a tour package but this hotel blew our mind away. It's beautifully decorated and the view outside of the hotel is peaceful and spectacular.

An amazing hotel overlooking the salt flats. We stayed here during a fantastic holiday to Peru/Bolivia arranged by Imagine Latin America who we can highly recommend as this was our second great holiday with them. The hotel is made almost entirely of salt, even the beds and chairs in the spacious rooms. The lounge areas with their stunning log fires... More

We stayed in Luna Salada only one night - unfortunately I must say - all due to road blockage in Bolivia which made us driving whole night from Sucre to Potosi. Luna Salada is exceptional place, well kept, beautifully designed, with mostly rooms arranged in salt - they have beds, tables, chairs made of thick, rough, salt blocks. The only... More

We booked independently and stayed here for one night; arriving with mixed feelings as we had read some poor reviews and some of the correspondence with the hotel had us a bit worried that there would be lots of addition costs involved, and that salt flat tours are gold dust (not so at all). Once we arrived we were pleasantly... More

However highly this hotel may have been rated in the past, it remains in business only because the alternatives are quite possibly worse, and few and far between. The Bolivian salt flats are amazing, and me and a few mates rode them on BMWs and stayed here as part of a 3 week trip through the Altiplano. The hotel decore... More

In comparison with other ecohotels on the four-day trip from Tupiza to Uyuni, this was the best of the best we had, especially if you consider that we paid the same for all hotels. the room and barhroom was huge, all made of salt. and the blanker was with a electronic heating system! As a Swiss I first need to... More

Yes, you stay here for the experience, and, yes, it is comfortable with both down and electric blankets, and a great view of the salt flats (rooms in the 200s have views). Everything functions well, even the water pressure is surprisingly good, and the bathrooms were pretty clean (although they require you do not put your toilet paper in the... More

Plus: - Location close to the Uyuni’ salt desert - Very nice hotel, very well and unique for almost everything is made with salt - Friendly receptionist doing almost everything from carrying baggage to answering the phone Minus: It is not a 4 star hotel at all - Small rooms, very basic. I would suggest to choose a non salt... More

Staying at a salt hotel when you come to the largest salt flats on earth is an unique experience. Of course it comes at a price, but this is one of those "once in a life-time" kind of things. Luna Salada sits atop a small hill, with privileged views over the salar. The hotel is not surrounded by salt itself,... More
