A friend and I joined a group tour from Slovenia although both of us are from the USA. We came in 2 days prior (the night of April 19 and April 20, 2012) to the scheduled tour so we got to know the hotel staff. Our hotel room was adequate. When we checked in, I told the staff member that... More

Venezuela in general is not known for its service and you can guess why that is when you stay here. The property in general is not bad. The hotel is worn down and so is the staff. At the bar downstairs which was half empty it took a waiter 20 minutes to bring me a drink, when I asked if... More

Cons: Hotel is a little worn down. NO in-room wifi. Water pressure was very poor. Didnt have the wheelchair accessible room that was "guaranteed" in my reservation. Staff was not friendly, but not rude either. Expensive. Pros: Very centrally located downtown. Bed were very comfortable. Lots of TV channels in English. Probably the best your going to get in Caracas.

I finally decided to write a review here, I will try to stay positive. I have been in and out of Caracas for years and have tried several hotels over time. I normally do not stay at Marriott's I have high elite status with SPG and PC but their are no SPG and the InterContinental in Caracas I do not... More

I spent two nights here on the "CLUB LEVEL" in a Jr. Suite. The bed was great. There was a nice flatscreen TV in both the bedroom and living area. Now, after living in Asia for the last 10 years or so, club floor grants access to the executive lounge, where at happy hour there is all kinds of delicious... More

Was there for 2 nights and didn't have a good experience. The front desk was friendly during my check-in and I was located in room #20. This is located in the side tower (not the main tower) and the room looked OK, however, the shower had mold and the ceiling was peeling, and the hot water in the sink was... More

I stayed here in January 2012 for 6 days on a business trip. The hotel staff at the front desk all spoke English which was important to me as my Spanish is extremely poor. The room I stayed in was very nice; the air conditioning worked well and the mattress was extremely comfortable. The hotel provided enough free bottled water... More

An excellent hotel is not up to the five star standard it once was. Bed covers were smelly and room repairs seemed to be done by rookies. Service also was average at most.

The JW Marriot hardly should deserve the JW title. There are several issues with the hotel that you should be aware, first is that they will charge you for your stay in advance in USD billed from the US, so when you get there you have been billed already. Second please avoid being lodged in the tower where the lobby... More
