The breakfast is really awful; special mention for the very sour orange juice and the rotten butter!! The fitness looks like in the 60's years. For a 5*, no bath, just a shower (in executive room! floor 9th). Somebody (the room's wife ?) has stolen USD 400.- in my room. It was hidden in my wallet. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE !! more

Stayed in a suite there and expected the worst but was happy to have an excellent stay - the food was good and the views from the terrace bar are beautiful - the room was OK too and an excellent pool. more

I have stayed in this hotel three times this year and each stay has been worse than the one before. I am at the highest rung in the Intercontinental world (Royal Platinum Ambassador) and stay out of loyalty to the chain. I recieve indiferent service at best at this hotel. The last (and I do mean last) stay was typical.... more

Should have taken more notice of the reviews before booking. Terribly overpriced, horribly out dated rooms which resemble a hotel back in what I would imagine they looked like in the 60s. Changed my room as the first one had stains on the carpet and the toilet was dirty. Manager was totally disinterested in my opinions. The lobby is OK,... more

Arrived after a 10 hour flight from Europe at the hotel, tired and ready for sleep. 2 hours after arriving at the hotel I still was not settled in my room. Firstly there was a long queue at reception, a lot of guests trying to change rooms, I now understand why. Finally it was my turn, I had to change... more

The lobby looks fine, but the rooms are more highway motel than 5 star. I booked a "deluxe" room that was the standard of a Travelodge. There is no use paying a lot of money for this. Staff are quite uninterested, to the point where the bellboys told me it would be too complicated for them to bring my bags... more

Hotel is big adn the pool is nice. But its dated and I had problems with my room - the water in the shower came out brown and when they tried to move me they let me into an occupied room. I'd recommend a more modern hotel. more

This hotel, known to all as The Tamanaco, has a rich history, When I lived in Caracas in late 80's, it was THE place to bring the family for shows, meals and holiday celebrations. My wife, who was raised in Venezuela remembers many childhood celebrations as it was THE place for weekends of poolside fun and dinners. Sadly, it has... more

I am a pretty tolerant person and frequent traveller, and I know that in Venezuela the hotel standard is generally low. That's ok , as long as the room is priced accordingly. This hotel however should not charge more than at most 100 USD for rooms that it asks 400 dollars for !! Dirty carpets, smelly rooms and corridors, elevators... more
