We found the Manutara clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet was quite reasonable, with cold meats and fruits, and good bread. No air conditioning in this hotel, and room was HOT, hard to sleep at night. Nice courtyard pool area. Except for manager, staff did not have much english, but tried hard to please. Main drawback is that it is located... More

The hotel is very basic, clean & tidy. Staff friendly but only a few can speak English. The hotel is very near to the Airport but 30 mins walk to CENTRE of town centre. There is no public transport in Easter Island, so you either have to walk or get a taxi. Breakfast very basic & have the same food... More

This place is so friendly, the younger staff don't speak English but you can get by as they try their best. It is as clean as you would hope for. It is simple, slightly dated decor is cheap and cheerful. Their toasted sarnies and tea are hard to beat for a light meal at $5pp. Breakfast is simple but good... More

Clean hotel, as expected , nothing exiting, room Ok, breakfast good enough to fill you. Waited for a minibus on the airport to take us there and it is only about 4 minutes walk, but we did not know it. Island is fantastic, you feel like you are intruding to somebodys life by seeing all those statues and not knowing... More

Stayed at the Manutara last year while on vacation and got pretty much what I expected a clean but plain room and bathroom with pretty decent water pressure. The hotel staff was very friendly and the morning breakfast was again basic but good. I did request a room with a double bed but ended up with a room with two... More

The hotel is a basic hotel, nothing too special. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, as well as the surrounding areas. The breakfast was nice too. Being on Easter Island, you can't expect much in the most remote area of the word. The majority of the time you will be out visiting the Moai and seeing the landscape anyways. I... More

We chose Hotel Manutara based on several previous reviews that rated the hotel ok for its moderate prices and adequate service. We did not expect a very clean and well-maintained hotel. The grounds and gardens were filled with beautiful areas, for strolling and always clean and neat, and the staff was courteous and helpful. It did not seem like a low-priced... More

Just 20 minutes walk from town and just 800m from the airport makes it a nice and easy location. Unfortunately the receptionstaff just spoke Spanish (very little English) but were helpfull. Hotel refused to book just one night so we were forced to book 2 nights instead. Because of plane arrival/departure times and breakfast-time (8AM-10AM) we were unable to get... More

I stayed for five nights at Hotel Manutara. The room was clean, very large and very comfortable. The staff were always attentive, easy to find, helpful and gracious. I liked being on the edge of town for the quiet (though you could still hear the surf down the road (very pleasant). The landscaping is beautiful and I walked around at... More

From the minute you arrive, Marilo the manager is there to greet you with an Iorana! Her husband Andres, is also part of the operation. It is a family owned hotel run by Rapa Nui people. The gardens are well manicured and the swimming pool gives you a tranquil piece of mind. The rooms are cozy with beds that have... More
