This was our second visit to Gliffaes. It is in a wonderful location above the River Usk with fabulous views in every direction. Gliffaes is a gem. Set in the most beautiful gardens with stunning walks on your doorstep. Food is delicious. Atmosphere is British hospitality at its best, understated elegance without being over the top. This hotel is very tranquil and remote, it is not on a main route and the sign could be hard to spot, however our Sat-Nav found it no problem. There are beautiful pathways and walkways right around the grounds and down to the River Usk, I'm not a big walker at all but the scenery is well worth a look.... more
