We stayed at the drawing room to do some walking in the Welsh Countryside. We were expecting a good experience, but we were blown away with both the quality and the service. And when it came to checking out the price really surprised us, excellent value for money! We would absolutely recommend anyone to stay, the images and the website... more

A beautiful house, super rooms and delicious food. We were very well looked after and spent a wonderful weekend there. The Drawing Room is situated amongst lovely countryside and minutes away form the lovely Ellen Valley. more

Easily one of the best B&B's we have stayed at. Can't fault the place in any respect; tastefully decorated rooms, attentive hosts and great food (we ate in on every night). Would recommend without hesitation. more

We had a fantastic stay at The Drawing Room. We will definitely return there and would not hesitate to recommend it. The room – like the food – was sumptuous. We were made to feel extremely welcome – and were treated to the kind of level of personal service you only find in small independent establishments (and even then, only... more

I spend alot of my hotel time in corporate replication because thats what cities provide, so it is uplifting to find in the country somewhere which cares, celebrates and understands that we are individuals who want to be treated as so, this is what the Drawing Rooms just outside Builth Wells provides. My one regret is that my wife was... more

My husband and I have stayed at The Drawing Room twice after stumbling upon it whilst on a drive through the Elan Valley. It's a bit like a home from home as the welcome is so warm and so beautifully decorated. There is something magical about the place which I can't quite put my finger on, but I recommend it... more

From the first moment we entered we were made to feel both at special and at home. Melanie has an ability to make you feel both welcome whilst also... more

This is our second time visiting The Drawing Room, and we made the 200-mile drive over from London specifically to drool over the wonderful food served by Melanie & Colin Dawson. The house Right on the A470 15 minutes South of Rhayader, this is a pretty, immaculately clean Georgian house with three guest rooms. The garden was manicured in the... more

It's a very cute and cosey place but it seemed a bit pricey for what you get and the food is a little fussy although really lovely. I don't think this is somewhere for young couples - but older people will like it! more
