Many thanks to John and Jupp for a fabulous two-night stay in Barmouth. The breakfasts are something to relish although we didn't try the full Welsh breakfast. John bakes his own delicious bread (no bread maker, it's done the 'proper' way), and it's hard to choose which of the wonderful array of home-made jams and jellies/marmalades to have on your... More

Dros y Dwr is a superb B&B! The hosts are very enthuasiastic and helpful in every respect and can honestly not do enough for their guests. Only planned on staying one night but due to the hugely spacious room, amazing breakfast, unsurpassed views of the estuary and really comfortable bed - we were forced to change our plans and stay... We stayed at Dros y Dwr for three nights in July and couldn't recommend it highly enough. From the welcome we received from John & Jupp (tea and freshly baked muffins), to the comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated bedroom, the amazing views over the estuary and the breakfasts. John and Jupp were able to suggest some great local walks -... More

We are from Germany and on the way to Ireland, we stayed for 2 nights in June 2012. The B&B has lovely and charming rooms, everything clean and a great view to the river, the bridge, the harbour and the sea. We were familiary welcome by Jupp and John and enjoyed the tasty full English breakfast, the afternoon tea and... More

I knew that this was going to be a lovely stay from the moment that we arrived and spotted a glowing Galle lamp in the hallway! John and Jupp have got it spot-on in this beautifully presented guest house. This house retains great characater and period appeal whilst feeling contemporary and stylish. The spacious and uncluttered feeling of the rooms... More

We stayed for 2 nights, the house is tastefully decorated throughout, everything clean, new and to a high standard with harbour views. As there are only 3 rooms you feel like you are staying in John & Jupps home rather than a B&B. They are extremely welcoming, on arrival we were offered afternoon tea & homemade cake, delicious! They are... More

I have just arrived back from staying at the B&B in Barmouth “Dros y Dŵr” & I now write about my stay. I had missed my train back to London & thus had to stay in Barmouth for 1 (Tuesday) night. Having previously looked at the Trip Advisor reviews, it was a toss-up between “Dros y Dŵr” & “Sunray Guest... More

A wonderfull weekend getaway, sitting in the bay windows of this lovely house and watching the light change across the estuary was wonderful. Taking the panoramic walk and geocaching in the mawddach estuary with the sun gleaming on the snowy crest of Cadair Idris just added gilt to the lily. We would recommend staying at Dros y Dwr to anyone... More

We were travelling through Wales during August Bank Holiday and decided to look for a B&B on spec. We had the room overlooking the bay, wow! I wished I could have moved in here, a beautifully decorated and spacious room and a fabulous view of the bay, complete with two chairs and a table to sit and admire the vista.... More

Beautiful room with bay window and ocean view; scrumptious breakfasts--cooked just as you like them; fascinating hosts; gorgeous walks right out the front door. Wish we had been there longer. Our favorite place on our 2 week vacation. Would definitely go back. Perfect in every way.
