Everything about this place is traditionally Scottish, from the tartan decked rooms to excellent quality the food. We stayed in Room 2 this time - overlooking the main street. Despite this we had no disturbance from the street or... More

We asked for a quiet room with the hotel being on a main road. It was room 12 the last bedroom at the end of the roof space at the back of the building. We couldn't get into the room initially, fearful of pulling off the rickety handle off. the very friendly assistant told us there was 'a knack' to... More

This is a nice hotel in a lovely part of Scotland and a handy stop over for the Northern Ireland ferries. We had a spacious very reasonably priced room. The breakfast was good although the pop music radio in the restaurant did spoil the traditional Scottish character of the hotel. More

To be fair, we only drank here one Saturday evening (13th Aug) during our holiday but just had to shout about the cleanliness, friendliness and comfort of this place! Staff couldn't be any friendlier, especially the young man behind the bar who went out of his way to make my 7 year old's visit pleasurable by fetching over crayons, colouring... More

The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were even given a room in which to store our motorcycle gear after we had checked out. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The hotel also has its own private car park. The town is very picturesque with lots of shops and... More
