A warm welcome awaited us at this traditional Scottish hotel. Room was comfortable with all ameneties needed, including tea and coffee making facilities. However, bathroom was tired and in need of some TLC - black mould on grouting and some very 70's features. The dinner was excellent. Good quality ingredients cooked with flair. Ditto for breakfast - although buffet style... more

Very pleasant and helpful staff, good food and nice bedroom with large bathroom. We were not aware in advance that it was Kelso Civic Week and found the festivities added to our holiday. Excellent breakfast but would be nicer in the restaurant rather than the bar. Good range of malts the usual sad kegs you get in the whole of Scotland. Nice staff and felt... more

We stayed here for two nights towards the end of of a two week tour around Scotland. family of four with two children aged 9 & 11. We had booked a family room, and had been staying in family rooms for last 7 nights, so fantastic bonus to us and the children to find we had been given two rooms... more

Booked for location and capacity, more than anything else. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Food was excellent and exceeded my expectations by some margin. Rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment. Unusually, for a Scottish hotel, the bar is poorly stocked. more
