I have wanted to write this since we left but with two little boys, I have not found enough time to do Eckford Hall & its amazing owners justice. I have travelled a great deal & always been encouraged by my parents & grandparents to go off the beaten track, try something different in the hope that you will be... More

We enjoyed ourselves so much last year that we booked up for four nights this year. Glad to say that the B&B is still as lovely and Lynda's hospitality is still second to none. We stayed in the Crailing family room which is large, bright and comfortable and a nice place to return to after a days walking or exploring.... More

Eckford Hall Steading is the best Bed and Breakfast one could wish for. Comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings, wonderful food, with any amount of choice for breakfast, (try the scambled egg with smoked salmon). Linda goes out of her way to make the stay as welcoming and relaxed as possible. She will advise on where to eat in the evenings and... More

Lynda and Ian were incredible hosts and we loved staying there in July 2011, I cannot say enough good things about the room, house, hospitality or food! I even tried haggis for breakfast for the first time and it was superb. Lynda went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. One word of caution if you are using... More

We have stayed in many different places as part of our hobby showing dogs at Championship shows across the UK - and this one is the icing on the cake. Great location, super accommodation, everything absolutely first class and pristine ..... who could ask for more?! Add a warm welcome (oh, those home-made biscuits) and a wonderful breakfast and the... More

One word "Fantastic". Very warm welcome on arrival, and made to feel at home all weekend. This was better than some five star hotels we have stayed in, and would recommend anyone to stay here. We will be back for sure!

We stayed at Eckford Hall Steading for 2 nights in May. We were taking part in the Hearts and Heroes 29 mile cross country competition in Melrose. We couldn't of been better looked after. Lynda and Ian were the perfect hosts making our stay extremely memorable. The breakfast was perfect with lots of choice. The house is immaculate with spectacular... More

Upon arrival we were met by Mr and Mrs Thompson with lovely homemade short bread; they were not only extremely pleasant but were also very helpful. The standard of our room was extremely high and I particuarly liked all the little extras. I will definitely returning next year and I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who is traveling... Our stay at Eckford Hall met with all our expectations and more. Immaculate accomodation, beautiful spacious room and lots of little extras. Linda was most attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Fresh, home cooked breakfast with home baked bannana and choc chip muffins, delicious!! We had a very relaxing stay and would definitely recommend this accomodation.

We couldn,t have been happier with our choice of accomodation. From a wonderful welcome to the high quality of the room there was absolutely nothing to criticise about our stay. The stay was superb value for money with the amazing breakfast included.
