First class acommodation where nothing was too much trouble for the three generations we met! Our room was on the ground floor having outstanding views across the loch. A large room with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Apart from the TV, DVD, breakfast tray there were 2 armchairs nd a king size bed, the most comfortable i... More

What a great location. Situated on Loch Linnhe, our room was simple yet very clean & comfortable. We didn't meet the owner as a new addition to the family was due. This is a quaint old beauty & one can only imagine what it would have been like in it's "hay day". A great selection of whiskeys that night, follwed... More

James Cholmeley Russell - barrister, financier, property developer and railway entrepreneur acquired Creag Mhor in the 1890s. It had originally been built in 1890 for the wife of the Episcopalian Bishop of Argyll. Family photographs show Russell, his family and friends relaxing in the grounds. It was at Onich that he kept his steam yacht "Madge" JCR seems to have... More

During our trip around Scotland this was our fourth place to stay for two nights. Our travel agency booked for us something 'nearby Fort William' and that is what it was - calm situated with a beautiful first impression from outside. It has everything you need: parking spaces around, a pretty building and the Loch Linnhe vis-á-vis. Our room (by... More

We were originally meant to stay at the Onich hotel through a walking course company we were using, but they were double booked so arranged for us to stay here instead. On arrival we realised we had definitely got the better deal as the hotel was in a beautiful location, and the room was excellent. It had all the amenities... More

We paid £60 (off season) for a double room great value, just passing through, would stay again. Nice spacious room, clean, modern spacious bathroom. Great lounge, comfy sofas, wooden floors, log fire, nice atmosphere. The owners kept the fire going for us (don't you just hate when the fire is not lit?) even though there weren't many people staying and... More

We stayed at Creag Mhor Lodge for three nights and it was just great. The two superior rooms we stayed in were both absolutely immaculate and they were very classy and modern. They were also very very big! We made great use of the DVD library in which we were welcomed to take as many as we liked, which was... More

We stayed at Creag Mhor Lodge for two nights on a weekend hill walking holiday. Its a lovely historic building built over 100 years ago with rooms of grand proportions. Our bedroom had been recently refurbished and was comfortable. I thought the price of £32.50 per head for bed and breakfast represented excellent value. The best thing about this place... More

We stumbled across this gem at the Ballachuliish tourist office after an accommodation disaster the previous night. The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. We spent lots of time just looking out of the window at the beautiful, ever changing view right down the Loch. There was loads of hot water and a great bath which was invaluable after a... More
