The guest house is cute, clean and I love the blue and white paint theme! (hint hint, Scottish National Colors). We had a lovely view of Port Ellen and the Port Ellen lighthouse from our room (which an an en-suite bath), which was tidy, cozy and comfortable. Andrea is a thoughtful propreitor who made every effort to accomodate us (especially... More

I love to travel, and when I do, I always find that Bed and Breakfasts are really hit or miss. Having travelled to more than 19 countries in the last 15 years, I have spent a lot of time experiencing a gambut of bed and breakfasts. In all of my travels, I have never come across a place as special,... More

Had a very enjoyable stay at Cala Sith Guesthouse. Great location, very attentive and hospitable host, and well cooked Scottish breakfast. Andrea, the owner, is gracious and helpful and made sure that we took full advantage of all the Islay had to offer. I would definitely return and stay at Cala Sith Guesthouse.

I started planning my August 2011 holiday on Islay with my daughter about 2 months in advance. I mailed 6 places and asked about availability and prices. Andrea, the owner of Cala Sith guest house, was by far the quickest to reply (some replies came in a week later). We decided to book with her. In the weeks before our... More

Hostess is outstanding, rooms were clean but a bit dated, breakfast good, and great location. A great choice in Port Ellen.

On our trip we booked one night in the Cala Sith Guesthouse with a party of 5. Very nice house with all comfort we needed. We even could borrow a plug adaptor to reload the smartphone, and a hairdryer. The rooms were clean, same as the bathroom. In the morning we had the best breakfast of the trip! On a... More

Went for a short stay at Islay and had a very warm welcome by Andrea. Service and rooms are excellent. She helped me also with the booking of a tasting at Laphroigh. When I do visit Islay again I will stay again at the Gala Sith Guesthouse. Andrea, thanks again. Regards, John

We traveled throughout Scotland for our honeymoon and stayed here for about half way through our vacation. I can't say enough great things about Andrea and her wonderful place. We had a room in the corner on the second floor, which overlooked Port Ellen. Port Ellen is a fairly small place, so from the Guest House, you can pretty much... More
