After being recommended by a member of family we decided to experience it for ourselves. It was a beautiful little cottage inside and out, very cosy! Nancy was very accomodating and cooked us lovely breakfasts with a FANTASTIC selection of home made jams! We would definitely book to stay again, and being 20 minues from Bath it was the perfect... We stayed at the Thatch cottage last year but I'm looking forward to spending another few days there and seeing Nancy and Paul again next year. We met up with a friend at short notice and Nancy organised the cottage to make it warm and welcoming for all three of us. The cottage has off street parking, a beautiful garden... More

We have just returned from our second visit to Thatch Cottage. Nancy and Paul are very friendly. Nancy cooks a great breakfast and we like the fact that a) we are the only guests and b) the cottage has a sitting room and bedroom upstairs. Excellent value for money. We visited Bath`s Christmas market on Nancy`s recommendation and were not... More

We stayed here on July 12, 2011. Lacock Village is the definition of history and charm rolled into one. Add the Harry Potter film scenes for the fans in your family and this village will be on your list of really easy places to visit in England. (I must add that the cottage is not set up for young children... More

Of the 14 B&Bs we stayed in during our recent 36-day holiday, this was my favorite! The terms "cute" or "quaint" are probably overused and somewhat patronizing, but describe this B&B perfectly. The downstairs sitting room was as comfortable as you could wish, and the upstairs bedroom contained ample space and a sumptuous bed. Both rooms were situated in a... More

We booked the Thatch Cottage for a weekend after reading the TripAdvisor reviews and discovered that the superlatives were totally justified. Nancy has the balance just right and makes you feel welcome and at ease from the start. Although connected to the main house by a door from the hall into Nancy's kitchen, the cottage gives total privacy and peace.... More

We stayed for three nights in this lovely bed and breakfast. The cottage was gorgeous and very comfortable. We don't usually like to stay in bed and breakfasts as we like our own space. However, the cottage was separate to the main house and Nancy made us feel very at home. The breakfast was delicious and Nancy's homemade jam was... More

Nancy was a fantastic host at the B&B. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was provided in their large kitchen, so was more like a social gathering than a meal. The breakfast itself was something to die for, and set you up for the whole day. Also available was a cold supper in your cottage upon request, and again was... More
