From the moment we arrived, the staff could not do enough for us. The Wheatsheaf was exactly the way it was advertised...the room was spotless, the food excellent, but what made the whole visit was the little extras, like chocolate and snacks in the room, the jar of headache tablets, etc by the serving table at breakfast for those with... We stayed in the Wheatsheaf Inn on our wedding day with loads of our friends and families. Great stay, nice rooms, great service, complement goodies and food but true that some of the rooms are lack of particularity - my brother and his girlfriend stayed in a room where the glass shower cubical stands at the end of their massive... We recently hosted a 50th birthday celebration at The Wheatsheaf Inn for 8 couples including afternoon tea, a cocktail reception, a fabulous black tie dinner in the private dining room and a casual brunch the next day with the best Bloody Mary's ever. It was a truly fantastic weekend where everything was just perfect. We had pre-assigned our guests' rooms... More

A bit like the curates egg - somethings excellent, some things not so. The bedroom was excellently furnished and decorated, with a very comfortable bed BUT no practicallity for living. Nothing to hang your clothes on, no bin, Bath in the middle of the bedroom, no bright light in bathroom or bedroom, to put makeup on or to have a... More

We stayed in room 6, which had a gorgeous comfy bed and open plan bathroom as part of the main room. A fabulous large walk in shower and two lovely basins (separate loo) - it was painted in shades of grey with black furniture and accessories. If you like pale or colour this may not be the room for you... More

Stayed in room 7. Odd checking in moment (you check into the rooms at the bar). Stood at the bar with luggage expecting some form of greeting from the staff behind the bar. Nothing!? Had to initiate the check in myself. Staff seemed friendly and helpful though. Room 7 was cosy but clean (well it appeared so anyway). Not much... More

My husband has a bad leg so room no 10 is perfect, and the bed is squishy soft and enormous.I have no problem at all with the delicious bathroom potions and lotions in big bottles, so much more generous than those twee little bottles.I never hang up my clothes but always use a chair so not bothered by hanging space.... We stayed here before going to a concert in Cheltenham, me and my parents, we needed a quick supper and had such a delicious and fun time we nearly missed the show! it was such a relief to get back to my super comfy bedroom and I loved the decor and beautiful velvet edged linen curtains. The shower was awesome... More

Staff are rude, charge you for things they say they won't, don't fix things they have been told about and owner, Sam will act unprofessional in the event he is shown to be in the wrong. Rooms are not cleaned. No place to hang clothes.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a two night stay at the Wheatsheaf Inn, and we really enjoyed our stay. The Wheatsheaf is in an ideal location; not far from Cheltenham and the gorgeous Bourton on the Water, and surrounded by countryside so it's perfect for those who like long walks! On arrival, we were shown to our... More
